Job Description
We are looking for a 1st Operator (Supervisory). In this role, you will combine operating and setting up production machines with a supervisory role on the shop floor. You will ensure that production proceeds according to schedule, provide guidance to colleagues, and monitor the quality, safety, and progress of the production process.
You will work in a modern production environment and be part of a two-shift operation in the canning department.
What will be your duties
Preparation
- Developing a schedule for a sub-department
- Creating order forms and stickers
- Setting up and adjusting production machines
- Training Machine Operators
- Preparing the correct semi-finished products
Implementation
- Operating and Lubricating Production Machines
- Manufacturing in accordance with work instructions and quality standards
- Filling out inspection and production reports
- Troubleshooting Minor Problems
- Sharing technical knowledge with colleagues
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations
Inspection
- Conducting and recording quality checks
- Inspection of finished products and semi-finished products
- Visual inspection for quality and defects
- Adjusting machines as needed
Other Activities
- Perform routine maintenance
- Keep Your Workspace Clean and Tidy
- Inventory Management
- Provide support to other departments as needed
What we ask
- Experience operating and adjusting production machines
- Technical insight
- Experience with quality control and measuring tools
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Experience in mentoring or supervising colleagues
- Strong organizational skills
- Preferably a good command of the Dutch language
- Willingness to work a two-shift schedule
